In the context of its Strategic Plan (2017-2020), ACCD adopts a new project on the use of assistive technology to support the inclusion of Arab children with disabilities in education and society. This project aims at upgrading the educational level of children with disabilities and their inclusion in education and society, through using educational and assistive technologies for some cases of disability.
The project stems from ACCD's interest in the issues of children with disabilities being one of its work priorities, as ACCD has implemented several projects and drafted training manuals in order to provide a safe environment for children with disabilities and their inclusion in education and society.
ACCD will cooperate with the Kuwait Fund for Development and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in implementing this project, as well as specialized Arab experts in the fields of disability and technology.
