Child Friendly Media Workshop in
Collaboration with Al Ahram Foundation
ACCD, in collaboration with Al-Ahram Regional Institute for Journalism affiliated to Al-Ahram Foundation, the League of Arab States (LAS) and AGFUND, has held a workshop on the addressing to Arab media to children's rights issues, under the slogan of "Child Friendly Media", on the 3rd and 4th of October 2016, with the participation of 35 media professionals from Al-Ahram various publication outlets.
Concluding the workshop, Mr. Ahmed El-Naggar, Chairman of the Al-Ahram Foundation, announced that the Al-Ahram Foundation, with all its publications, shall be child-friendly and shall commit to all the relevant guidelines, stressing that media is supposed to be not only child-friendly, but also a primary and basic sponsor thereof. The closing session of the workshop has witnessed signing a protocol of cooperation between ACCD and Al-Ahram Regional Institute for Journalism, as well as the declaration and commitment to Professional Guidelines for Arab Media Addressing the Issues of Child Rights.
